Pregnancy Symptom Survival for the Rx Opposed: Heartburn, Indigestion, Slow Digestion

I hesitate to even say this at the risk of offending nearly every woman who has ever been pregnant, but I never had morning sickness. What DID plague me for both the second and third trimesters was a feeling of indigestion that followed me night and day.

Do check with your OB or midwife, but these are the things that helped me through.

RAW Digestive Enzymes for Women

Critical for me to digest bread heavy meals or anything eaten late in the day. I take one with food and find that I can feel like a normal person with a functioning (and non-baby squished) digestive system again.

Papaya Digestive Enzyme Chewable Tablets

I think of these like an alternative for Tums (which don’t work for me, I found they made stomach acid worse). The papaya enzymes are pleasant tasting and don’t need to be taken with food. I even keep a bottle next to my bed for the nights when I overestimated what I put on my plate and can’t sleep from the pressure.
